Product information “Silent Night Chapel”
“Silent Night – Holy Night”
When the song “Silent Night” was sung on Christmas Eve 1818 in a small chapel in Oberndorf (near Salzburg), nobody would have expected that this song would one day be sung in many different languages around the world.
Every year, a Christmas mass is held on 24.12. at 5 clocks, in which this song is sung in different languages.
To commemorate this tradition, which is now more than 200 years old, we have developed a special Biekrug on which the chapel is depicted in relief on the front of the jug.
Mountain flowers were applied to the sides of the jug as relief motifs.
The deep blue cobalt glaze enhances the atmosphere of the holy winter night.
The jug is completely hand-painted and limited to just 5,000 pieces worldwide.
Each jug is individually numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
A lid made of genuine pewter rounds off this picture of German craftsmanship.
Height:Approx. 25 cm
