History of the bridal cup:

In the 15th century, the father did not want to give his Kunigunde in marriage to a penniless goldsmith.

He had Schmid locked up in a dungeon, but instead of putting an end to the love affair, his daughter fell ill from the heartbreak.

Desperate, his father decided to set the young man a task: If he passed it, he would be allowed to marry the daughter. The young man actually developed a cup from which he could drink at the same time as his beloved.

No matter how you turn the cup, the small cup always turns with it and holds the drink. This means that two people can always drink from the bridal cup at the same time.
