The male lions with their large manes are extremely impressive.

The jug shows lions in their natural environment in a savannah landscape in Africa.

The roaring lion on the front of the jug is the “royal” appearance embodied by these animals.

All motifs were handcrafted in full relief and painted by hand.

This version is the so-called “Cobalt” version: A cobalt-blue background in underglaze was applied. The relief appears more colorful and shiny compared to the Rustica version. There is no “better” of the two versions – personal taste is the deciding factor here. If you prefer the shiny “Rustica” version, please order the other jug # 959-RU.
