Product information “Bavaria panorama jug rusti, pewter lid”

This unique beer mug was made using traditional craftsmanship and symbolizes Bavarian culture and joie de vivre.

The beer mug presents a detailed depiction of the world-famous Bavarian homeland. A traditional Bavarian band can be seen in the center of the mug in front of an impressive alpine backdrop, surrounded by motifs of famous sights:

  • Zugspitze
  • Berchtesgaden
  • Feet
  • Munich
  • Neuschwanstein Castle
  • Oberammergau
  • Linderhof Castle
  • Garmisch-Partenkirchen

The artistic design is framed by a blue and white diamond motif at the bottom, which is typical of the Bavarian flag. Above the panorama are lovingly designed symbols of everyday Bavarian life, including:

  • Cowbell
  • Gentian Blue
  • Beer mug
  • White sausage
  • Hops
  • Pretzel
  • Edelweiss
  • Tyrolean hat
  • Beer trolley

Craftsmanship and materials: All motifs are depicted in finely crafted reliefs and have been carefully painted by hand. The beer mug was made from German clay and is fitted with an elegant lid made from real pewter, which crowns its high-quality finish.

Further details:

  • Capacity: ¾ liter
  • Height: approx. 28 cm

Guarantee of authenticity: The mug is supplied with a certificate. This confirms the originality and authenticity of the “Bayern Panorama Bierkrug”. Each stein is handmade to the highest quality standards and stands for the traditional art of German craftsmanship.

This jug was decorated using the so-called old German “Rusti” decoration technique: The jug has no glossy overglaze so that all the colors come across as rustic and matt. After the cobalt-blue glaze color has been applied and carefully wiped away from the raised relief motifs, the jug is fired in the kiln.

The jug lives from the play of colors of the clay shards and the cobalt glaze.

Alternatively, we also offer this jug in the so-called “cobalt-colored painted” version:

After the cobalt blue glaze paint has been applied and wiped away from the raised relief motifs, the jug is fired in the kiln for the first time. The jug is then hand-painted in color and fired a second time.

Both variants have their incomparable charm and it is a matter of personal taste which variant you find more appealing.

If you would like to compare this jug with the “Cobalt Painted” version, please take a look at item # 309-B.
