The Black Forest in the late Middle Ages at a lonely height in the vast hunting grounds. This is illustrated by this massive and particularly unusual clock in hunting lodge style. At a time when the Black Forest was also home to bears and wolves, it was simply necessary for a gamekeeper to ensure the balance of nature. On the left we see a large, dangerous brown bear coming out of its den for the first time after a long winter. In the middle, the hare is running away for safety. The real special feature of this clock is the faithful reproduction of the harsh nature of that time.
