Product information “”Auf Freiersfüßen” beer mug hand-painted, 1/2 ltr, ZD”
The historic beer mug, made in the Westerwald around 1970, is an impressive piece of local craftsmanship. Made from robust stoneware, it exudes both tradition and charm.
The front of the tankard shows the main motif: a young lad in typical Bavarian costume, wearing lederhosen and a filigree hat, adorned with a chamois beard. The young man is in full action as he dances a Schuhplattler, his legs in dynamic motion, while his face is characterized by youthful enthusiasm and joie de vivre. The relief is artistically designed and the hand-painting brings the details of the costume and face to life.
On the sides of the jug is the cheerful saying in Bavarian dialect: “Ein lustiger Bua – Find Madel gnua”, which reflects the lightness and fun of the Bavarian lifestyle and at the same time addresses the search for great love.
The mug holds half a liter of beer and has an attractive pewter lid, which is not only functional but also adds an extra touch of elegance.
This piece is not just a drinking vessel, but a small work of art that embodies the tradition and joie de vivre of Bavarian customs. A real eye-catcher for collectors and lovers of the Bavarian lifestyle!
The rim opposite the drinking side is slightly damaged. This is due to the age of the jug. Even if you can only see this minor damage when the lid is open, we have still reduced the price considerably.
