Germany eagle & flag relief rustic painted 0.5 liter

The German eagle with flags is the main motif of this jug. The surface of the jug around the handle is decorated with oak leaves and acorns. Just like the eagle, the German oak symbolizes constancy and strength.

The fine, detailed relief of the German heraldic eagle and the flags are painstakingly hand-painted.

The decoration on this jug gives it a “vintage” look: Instead of the cobalt blue glaze and the glossy transparent glaze, the body of the jug was given a dark glaze color here, which was then wiped off the raised reliefs by hand. The dark glaze color in the recesses and the matt colors make the reliefs appear even deeper and give the jug a rustic look.

The lid was made from real pewter.
