This model is designed with the most massive compact carved parts. This massiveness is reflected in the weight of the clock (12kg). In addition to all the high-quality carved parts, the elaborate forest scene is remarkable.
This clock features many trees and decorative elements of a lifelike forest. Spruce and tree trunk carvings adorn the entire clock.
The decoration shows a hunting scene, a hunter with binoculars, surrounded by deer and hare. The hare, as an escape animal, needs a cave, which is depicted here using bark elements. The hunter moves his arm to the cuckoo call and raises the binoculars to his eyes to look for game.
All figures and decorative elements are made of wood and hand-painted.
The roof is carved in shingle look, giving the impression of a real Black Forest house roof, which is shingled unevenly by hand.
