The male lions with their large manes are extremely impressive.

The jug shows lions in their natural environment in a savannah landscape in Africa.

The roaring lion on the front of the jug is the “royal” appearance embodied by these animals.

All motifs were handcrafted in full relief and painted by hand.

This version is the so-called “rustic” version: No cobalt-blue background was applied in underglaze. The relief appears deeper and the colors are matt. There is no “better” of the two variants – personal taste is the deciding factor here. If you prefer the shiny “cobalt version”, please order the other jug # 959-B.
