Max, the wild sow

Great artistic skill is required if you want to make a figurine jug like this.

The jug is so complex that it has to be made from fine ceramic in different parts and then assembled before the first of three firings.

Max the boar is in full regalia and ready to toast, dance and sing at the Oktoberfest. He is shown here in full action doing the Schuhplattler dance.

If you take a closer look at the jug, you’ll find lots of funny little details – such as the dachshund resting in the rucksack, the hunter’s hat with the Gambs beard, the “I love Bavaria” tattoo and so on.
